Construction has officially begun on a new brewery in Nashville after several delays, The Tennessean reported on July 23.

Construction crews have started gutting the building and removing the roof at 1612 Church St. in Nashville. A few snags in the planning and design held up construction, but French Landing Brewing Co. plans to open in early 2016, said head brewer Eric Janson.

Janson is working with a group of investors, including Dan Gokal, head of the family trust that owns the Church Street property in Nashville.

“It’s finally moving forward and I’m excited,” Janson said.
