The Danish brewing force, Carlsberg A/S, has successfully avoided a strike action, the local press posted on June 25. “Labour negotiations had been successfully concluded,” according to the daily paper Borsen.

Earlier this month, employees at the brewer's Fredericia plant went on strike for 10 days, raising worries Carlsberg would be unable to meet Danish demand during the soccer tournament. The company got some compensation form the strike from the Confederation of Industries, because a labor court ruled the strike illegal. However, the compensation did not cover the full cost of lost production and still cost the brewer several million kroner.
