United Kingdom: Hardys & Hansons, the UK regional brewing and pub company, has announced the retirement of its chairman. The company said on April 20 that Richard Hanson would retire from the board after 50 years of service to the company on 22 April, according to Just-Drinks.

In a statement, Tim Bonham, managing director of H&H, said: “Richard has over many years made an invaluable contribution to the company for which we are very grateful. We wish him well in his retirement.” The company’s board has appointed James Kerr-Muir as non-executive chairman to succeed Hanson. Kerr-Muir, 63, is currently non-executive chairman of Senior plc and of Davenham Group Holdings Limited, and a non-executive director of Yates Group plc and Gartmore Fledgling Trust plc.

Yates Group has announced that Kerr-Muir will be retiring from its board following its Annual General Meeting.
