E-Malt.com News article: USA, TN: Mayday Brewery increases its production
Brewery news

Mayday Brewery will double its current brewing production with the addition of two new fermentation tanks, dnj.com reported on June, 5.

The brewery opened its doors six months ago in downtown Murfreesboro and has already reached brewing capacity. Mayday Brewery currently has four 30-barrel tanks that can produce 2,600 gallons of craft beer per year. The addition of two 90-barrel fermentation tanks will push Mayday’s capacity to nearly 6,500 gallons per year.

“This new capacity will help us to keep up with the strong demand for our craft beers: Boro Blonde, Velvet Hustle, Angry Redhead and Evil Octopus,” said Ozzy Nelson, founder of Mayday Brewery. “We want Mayday to be the first choice for beer drinkers in Murfreesboro and Middle Tennessee.”

He added that the new tanks will help Mayday Brewery reach its goal to can, rather than bottle, its beer in the near future.

With four craft beers under its belt, Mayday has begun brewing Randy’s IPA from Nashville-based Jubilee Beer and recently introduced weekly Small Batch Brews.

In addition to doubling its capacity, Mayday has more than doubled its outdoor seating area with a deck expansion.

“From the beginning, we knew the 450-square-foot deck wasn’t going to be large enough,” Nelson explains.
