Brewery news

Oklahoma brewers Prairie Artisan Ales and Mustang Brewing Co. released new beers in the past two weeks, Tulsa World reported on March, 17.

Prairie Artisan Ales released four new beers: Prairie-Merica - a malty ale, Prarie Gold - a sour golden ale, Prairie Somewhere – a citrusy ale brewed with oranges and limes and made in collaboration with Saint Somewhere Brewing Co. in Florida, and Funky Galaxy – a black saison.

Prairie Artisan Ales are produced by brothers Chase and Colin Healy and currently are brewed in the Choc Beer Co. facilities in Krebs. The brothers are looking for a permanent spot, preferably in the Tulsa area, and have begun a Kickstarter campaign to raise the necessary funds.

Oklahoma City-based Mustang Brewing Co. recently released its seasonal DoppelHopper IPA, a double India Pale Ale.

“It would have been easy to just pile in more and more hops and blow away people’s palates, but we wanted a recipe that would appeal to IPA fans while fitting our profile of drinkable beers,” said Mustang brewmaster Gary Shellman.
