Brewery news

New Belgium Brewing Company is launching a new series of beers in 2013 under the name “Hop Kitchen”, beerpulse.com reported on January, 4.

The brewers created some batches last year and tested them out in the field.

The first release will be Hoppy Bock Lager, a German-style springtime lager.

Four Hop Kitchen beers will be released during 2013 (presumably quarterly) in 22 oz. bottles and draft.

According to New Belgium spokesperson, Bryan Simpson, the second beer will be an IPA featuring French Aramis hops, the third a Fresh Hop IPA using Salmon-Safe certified hops farmed in Oregon and the fourth will feature some throwback hops that were popular in the 80′s and 90′s.

“The idea is to have a nice rotating offering of hoppy beers to compliment the Belgian-influenced sour and wood beers that have been rotating through our Lips of Faith series,” says Simpson.
