Brewery news

Grapevine now has another craft brewery in the works (in addition to Noble Rey), Dallas Observer reported on November, 30.

Gary Humble, who lives in Grapevine, along with two investors are planning to break ground on the new brewery in downtown Grapevine in March. The Grapevine Craft Brewery will be a multilevel unit with large open spaces and plenty of room to mingle.

Humble reports that so far he's working on a peach wheat beer called Monarch Wheat (a tribute to the local migratory path of the butterfly), which he says will be seasonal and will include spring-time Texas white peaches. "We're doing a milk stout with a coffee kick," Humble says, "and we'll also do a sweet rye IPA called Lake Fire."

Humble is looking for a head brewer. He is confident that the brewery, the brewer and the beer will be ready this summer.
