E-Malt.com News article: USA, SC & GA: Westbrook Brewing beers to be distributed in Georgia
Brewery news

Georgia will soon see another southeastern brewery's wares on shelves, examiner.com reported on November, 19.

Savannah Distributing announced that they will soon be distributing beers from Mount Pleasant, SC's Westbrook Brewing Company. The distributor noted that the license had been approved and the paperwork had been submitted, and that they are now only awaiting state approval to distribute the brewery's beers across Georgia.

Westbrook Brewing first opened its doors at the end of 2010, the work of a then 26-year old MBA graduate of Clemson University, Edward Westbrook. The brewery immediately began garnering praise for beers such as White Thai, their year-round Witbier brewed with ginger and lemongrass, and the year-round IPA, both of which are now available in cans.

Their specialty beers have been subject of much attention, and the still-young brewery has already collaborated with such famed entities in the craft beer world as Denmark's Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø of Evil Twin Brewing (the result, Freudian Slip, was the gypsy brewer's first beer to be brewed in the United States) and The Charleston Beer Exchange.

Savannah Distributing says that it hopes to have Westbrook's beers on Georgia shelves before the end of the year, possibly before the end of the Christmas season.
