E-Malt.com News article: USA, MI: Rochester Mills Production Brewery to open new facility
Brewery news

The Rochester Mills Production Brewery will officially open later this month with the goal of having its Metro Detroit beer brands flowing statewide, Mlive.com reported on April, 9.

The new state-of-the-art, 48,000-square-foot facility in Auburn Hills will produce Rochester Mills Beer Co. brands for distribution in full pint, 16 oz. sized aluminum cans and on draft for local bars, restaurants and beer merchants across the state.

“Not only do we want to bring the brands out of the pub and into the public, but we wanted to bring it into a fashion that we wanted to make sure that the beer was perfect all the time,” said Rochester Mills Production President Mike Plesz, who also founded the Rochester-based brewpub in 1998.

The new facility, which is expected to eventually be open for public tours on Saturdays, will first produce the Cornerstone IPA, Rochester Red Ale, Milkshake Stout beer brands and a rotating selection of seasonal beers.

The expansion allows the Rochester Mills brand to brew up to an additional 100,000 barrels per year. Further expansion capacity exists on the site that would allow the production of over 200,000 barrels in the future.
