Sweden: Negotiations about structural changes in Sweden completed, Carlsberg A/S reported in a statement on January 22. In August 2003, Carlsberg Sverige (Sweden) initiated negotiations with union representatives about structural changes. The negotiations are now completed, and the Board of Directors has decided to combine a few Swedish and Danish administrative departments and to move the majority of Carlsberg Sverige’s administration and headquarters from Stockholm to Falkenberg. As part of the negotiation process, the Board decided in November 2003 to phase out production in Stockholm.

The consequence of the latest decision is that about 85 jobs will be shed in Stockholm, however approx. 30 new jobs will be created in Falkenberg and about 15 in Copenhagen. The changes are expected to be fully implemented by the end of September this year.

Furthermore, the Board of Directors decided to appoint Lars Påhlson Managing Director of Carlsberg Sweden. At the same time, he continues as Managing Director of Carlsberg Danmark (Denmark).
