According to the French government, France’s barley exports from September 1, 2011 to December 1, 2011 reached 1.9 mln tonnes (1.8 in the same period last marketing year).

Exports to other EU countries amounted to 1.4 mln tonnes (1.3 mln) and those to third countries to 462,000 tonnes (507,000). Main destinations in the EU were Belgium with 511,000 tonnes (463,000), the Netherlands with 444,000 tonnes (297,000), Germany with 207,000 tonnes (241,000), Italy with 122,000 tonnes (137,000), Spain with 52,000 tonnes (89,000), and Portugal with 10,000 tonnes (46,000).
