E-Malt.com News article: Turkey & Russia: Efes appoints new head for its Russian business

As of November 1, 2011, Mr. Tuğrul Ağırbaş, who has been Efes Turkey General Manager, will be appointed as Efes Russia General Manager, Turkey-based Anadolu Efes announced on October, 26.

Mr. Ağırbaş’s responsibilities will be assumed by Mr. Altuğ Aksoy, who has been the Supply Chain Director in Anadolu Efes.

Mr. Yüksel Gökbulut, who has been Efes Russia General Manager, will be appointed as Eastern Europe & CIS Group Managing Director.

The switch follows Efes' announcement that it will swallow SABMiller's Russian business, in return for handing the Peroni Nastro Azzurro brewer a 24% stake in the Anadolu Efes global business. Once combined, SABMiller and Efes will overtake AB InBev to be Russia's second biggest brewer in volume and value, behind Carlsberg's Baltika Breweries.

As of the same date, Mr.Volkan Harmandar, who has been working as Efes Turkey Finance Director, has been appointed as Finance Coordinator of Finance Presidency at Anadolu Endüstri Holding A.Ş., while Mr. Mustafa Susam, who has been working as Tax Director in Anadolu Efes, has been appointed as Efes Turkey Finance Director, the company said.
