Miller Brands Ukraine, a subsidiary of SABMiller plc, has launched Amsterdam Mariner beer in a new package - 1 litre PET bottle, the company announced on October, 10.

A classical European lager, Amsterdam Mariner has been manufactured at a Miller Brands Ukraine brewery under a license from Grolsch Breweries N.V. (Netherlands) since October 2010. Until now, it has been only available in two different packages: glass bottle and aluminium can of 0.5 l.

"By expanding the lineup of the brand, we hope to acquire more customers who appreciate the convenience and cost-efficiency of our offer," Lessia Stekhun, marketing manager of Miller Brands Ukraine, said.

PJSC Miller Brands Ukraine is a subsidiary of SABMiller plc. In July 2008 SABMiller plc acquired 99.84% of JSC Sarmat. At the end of 2010 the company changed the name from JSC Sarmat to PJSC Miller Brands Ukraine. The brand portfolio of Miller Brands Ukraine includes local brands like Sarmat and Zhygulivske, as well as well-known international brands: Miller Genuine Draft (imported), Zolotaya Bochka (Russian premium brand, produced in Ukraine under license), Velkopopovicky Kozel (Czech premium brand, produced in Ukraine under license) and Amsterdam Mariner (Dutch brand, produced in Ukraine under license).
