Brewery news

12 Horse Ale is trotting back to grocers’ coolers and beer taps as Genesee Brewery is again turning out the historic brand, Democrat and Chronicle reported on October, 10.

The iconic Rochester brewery first launched 12 Horse in the 1930s. But it was sent to the Glue Factory in the Sky in 1997 for two years and again in 2003, discontinued because of flagging sales.

To mark the return of what had long been one of the brewery’s most recognizable beers, Genesee is sending a horse-drawn wagon to a variety of downtown establishments on October, 12.

The company did not say when it expects to have wide distribution of the beer brand.
