Brewery news

Sherbrooke Liquor, the Edmonton store considered one of Canada’s best beer shops, has teamed up with Paddock Wood Brewing for an ambitious new series of exclusive beers, Canadian Beer News reported on August, 19.

Known as “Beer Gods,” the series will feature 12 different brands released over the next 3 years, with each beer named after a god or goddess of brewing from different historic cultures.

The first beer in the series is Ragutiene, a Baltic porter named after the Slavic goddess of beer. Originally planned for release on the summer solstice, it was delayed until early August, and is available now at Sherbrooke.

Future instalments in the series will be released on or around each seasonal solstice or equinox, until the final beer in released in March 2014.
