E-Malt.com News article: US, VA: New brewery to be opened at Smith Mountain Lake next year

A brewery is planned for Westlake Towne Center in Hardy, Virginia, Smith Mountain Lake reporter Laurie Edwards related on July, 12.

Partners Jerome Parnell and John Bryce are behind Virginia Craft Brewing Company, which will break ground this summer. They hope to begin producing beer next year.

The brewery will be capable of producing 50,000 barrels, or 100,000 kegs, per year.

The 8,800 square-foot site will include a tasting room with views of the fermentation and brewing room, and a retail store that offers T-shirts, glasses, stickers, and more.
