In the first half of 2011 the production of beer in Belarus increased by 22.3% to 2.19 million hl as compared to the same period last year, BlackSeaGrain reported on July, 12.

The majority of Belarusian breweries ramped up the production in the first half of the year. Heineken Breweries boosted beer production by 51.8% to 0.52 million hl. Olivaria Brewery and Brestkoye Pivo increased output by almost 30% to reach 0.42 million hl and 0.17 million hl respectively. Lidskoye Pivo produced 0.32 million hl of beer (up 26.2%). Krinitsa Brewery increased its output by 6.5% to 0.71 million hl.

The sales of beer increased some 25.6% to 1.9 million hl. Heineken Breweries sold 0.52 million hl of beer (up 67.5%), Olivaria Brewery – 0.44 million hl (up 40.5%), Brestkoye Pivo – 0.13 million hl (up 24.5%), Lidskoye Pivo – 0.3 million hl (up 22.5%) and Krinitsa Brewery – 0.5 million hl (up 0.5%)
