Interbrew has announced recently that it appointed Simon Thorpe as a new president and chief executive officer of Labatt USA. Simon Thorpe will replace Steve Cahillane with immediate effect, as Cahillane took over Interbrew’s United Kingdom and Ireland operations earlier this year.

Thorpe joined Interbrew last year, his most recent position being senior vice president of worldwide marketing. Prior to joining the group, Thorpe has worked for Binney & Smith, a division of Hallmark Inc., the Kellogg Company and Tambrands Inc. He began his career with Unilever in the UK.
