E-Malt.com News article: Ukraine: Barley carry-over stocks to reach just 1 mln tonnes in 2010/11, plantings to increase

According to the forecasts, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine expects grain carry-over stocks in the country to total 5.48 mln tonnes at the end of 2010/11 MY, Sergey Trigubenko, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, was quoted as saying by Agrimarket.info on February, 18.

According to Mr. Trigubenko, barley volumes are only expected to reach 1 mln tonnes.

S.Trigubenko also marked that the nation will increase barley sowing areas in the current season.
