Barley news

Uganda’s Nile Breweries has entered a partnership with farmers of Kabale district to grow barley for manufacturing of beer, New Vision communicated on September, 9.

However, according to Michael Betonde, the district extension worker and coordinator of barley growers in the district, said there was still a challenge of convincing the farmers to grow the crop.

He said this was because Uganda Breweries entered a similar agreement with the farmers some time back but failed to honour it.
