Interbrew announced on 21 November 2001 the closing of the sale of its 83.98% stake in Krym Brewery (Ukraine) to Donetsk Brewery.

This sale was ordered by the Ukraine Anti-Monopoly Committee because of Interbrew's acquisition of Rogan Brewery at the end of 2000. Interbrew has successfully implemented this remedy within the terms.

Interbrew is the number one brewer in Ukraine, with a market share of 35%. Interbrew's local platform in Ukraine now consists of three breweries: Rogan, in the East, Desna, North East to Kiev and Yantar, in the South.
