Estonian brewer A. Le Coq said on April, 5 it had started producing A. Le Coq Premium Extra, super premium beer based on new filtration technology.

7.8 million kroons were invested in the new beer technology and product development and the company plans to have sold 3.1 million litres of the product by the end of the year.

"At present, A. Le Coq is an apparent market leader in the bottle and can segment and we certainly wish to use the new Premium Extra for securing our position," A. Le Coq CEO Tarmo Noop commented.

"With the new beer, we wish to achieve a market share of a total of 50% on the super premium beer market of Estonia," Noop added.

Recommended price of the new Premium Extra in stores is 12.90-13.90 kroons.
