The Zambian Breweries Group has invested over the last three years, more than K500 billion upgrading their facilities, such as the installation of new packaging lines and a back-up power generation plant to enhance the Zesco supply line, ISN posted on January, 25.

The company also introduced a number of products on the Zambian market within 2009 which included both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

"We have invested more than K500 billion over the last three years in upgrading facilities at both Lusaka and the Copperbelt plants and the completed projects include, new beer and soft drinks packaging lines, new water treatment facilities in Ndola, a new fermentation cellar for Lusaka and back-up power generation plant whenever there is an interruption in the national supply line from Zesco," Zambian Breweries public relations manager Nicky Shabolyo said.
