Unión de Cervecerías Peruanas Backus y Johnston S.A.A. announced on August, 17 the appointment of Fernando Zavala Lombardi as C.E.O. of Cervecería Nacional S.A. in Panama, affiliated company of the group SABMiller.

Zavala Lombardi will assume his new role on August 24th; this makes him the first Peruvian assuming the highest role in a SABMiller operation around the world.

Founded 100 years ago, Cervecería Nacional is the leader of the beer market in Panama.

Cervecería Nacional S.A. became part of Group SABMiller, world’s No. 2 brewer after the Belgian AB InBev, in 2005. With operations in the 6 continents, SABMiller has a presence in 75 with more than 200 brands, almost 70,000 employees and 210 million hl of beer produced annually.
