E-Malt.com News article: Germany & Vietnam: German Bitburger licensed for brewing in Vietnam
Brewery news

Kinh Bac Investment and Trading Company has received the licence to produce Bitburger, a leading German beer, in Vietnam, Thanhnien reported on August, 15.

According to the license, the company will exclusively produce Bitburger beer in Vietnam and distribute it both domestically and throughout Indochina.

“People in Vietnam have known about German beer for ages,” said Kinh Bac’s Joseph Lim. “Beer is a part of German culture, as well as Vietnamese culture.”

Bui Duy Nam, the firm’s marketing director, said it would import and distribute the beer for the first year and then produce and bottle it in local factories.

The firm, a member of Kinh Bac Group, said it planned to develop two Bitburger centers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City where the beer and German food would be served together in traditional German style.
