SUN Interbrew Ltd plans to consolidate in 2004 all its production capacities and its sales company in Russia into OAO “United plants SUN Interbrew”, the company said in a statement. Now SUN Interbrew is formed of OAO United Breweries (97% shares), ZAO Ivanovo Brewery (100%), OAO Povolzhie (93.3%), OAO Bavaria (100%), OAO Perm Brewery (100%), OOO Kombinat Napitkov, sales company Star Distribution Company as well as Ukrainian breweries – OAO Yantar, OAO Rogan, ZAO Desna and Ukrainian sales company Star Interbrew Ukraine.

OAO United Breweries was created in April 2003 and it is formed of 4 Russian breweries ZAO Klin Brewery, ZAO Rosar, ZAO Saransk Brewery and OAO Kursk Brewery. SUN Interbrew was created in spring 1999 by Belgian brewer Interbrew and international company Sun Brewing with a purpose to activate in Russia and Ukraine. Now SUN Interbrew owns 8 breweries in Russia and 3 in Ukraine. In 2002 the company sold about 12.5 million hl of beer against 11.8 million hl in 2001.
