Brewery news

Sidel Group, one of the world's leading suppliers of beverage packaging equipment, has worked out an innovative PET bottle for the Dutch Grolsch brewery (SABMiller), unipack.ru published on November, 17.

The newly patented Grolsch product named Cheersch is a 2l PET bottle with a tap, which makes possible drinking draught beer at home. After opening, beer in such a package can be preserved in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, it is reported.

The product has a guaranteed shelf life of six months and is supplied with CO2 cartridges which enable the consumer to draft their Cheersch at the same pressure as in pubs. The system uses a tap unit which only needs to be bought once and does not require electricity to work.
