E-Malt.com News article: Australia: Foster’s two new beers target niche categories consumers
Brewery news

Alcoholic beverages group Foster's will launch in Australia two new beers targeted at niche categories following the success of its reduced carbohydrate Pure Blonde beer, Reuters informed on October, 9.

The company announced that its new Pure Blonde Naked (ABV – 3.5 per cent) will be targeted at the mid-strength beer market in the tropical climes of Queensland and the Northern Territory, while Natural Blonde (full-strength low-carbohydrate beer with an ABV of 4.2 per cent) will cater to enthusiasts of no-additive, no-preservative organic beer.

Foster’s has said it has no intention to distribute Pure Blond Naked in other Australian states or territories at this stage. The release of the new beers is planned for the end of October.

According to experts, greater health consciousness has resulted in a 93 percent increase in sales of low-carbohydrate beers in the year to the end of April.
