BBH, Scandinavian firm Baltic Beverage Holding sold 43.1% more beer in the former Soviet Union in 2000, compared to 1999. Sales totaled 14.34 million hl in Russia, 1.72 million in Ukraine and 1.99 million hl in the Baltic States.

Thus, BBH’s market share increased in Russia from 21.2 to 25.2% and in the Ukraine from 14% to 16.9%. Reason is the economic growth in both Russia and the Ukraine.

BBH’s sales revenues increased by 67.1% and the trading profit by 57.9% in 2000 (compared to 1999).

Another growth is foreseen for 2001, though less important.
