Chile's enterprises of brewing industry, through their trade body the Asociacion de Cervezas de Chile, are protesting against plans to raise tax on beer in the country. The groups have met Chilean congressmen and senators to lodge their opposition against the government's plan to increase tax on beer by between 15% and 19%.

Chile’s wine producers made the same actions against the government's plan to increase tax on wine by between 15% and 19%.
