E-Malt.com News article: Namibia: Namibia Breweries managing director resigns
Brewery news

The Managing Director of Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL), Olusegun Adebanji, has resigned from his position with immediate effect after two and a half years at the helm, The Namibian reported September 6.

A statement from NBL said Adebanji's last day at the breweries was Monday. Adebanji was due to leave NBL in January next year, but was forced to leave earlier due to personal ambitions.

NBL's Manager: Corporate Affairs, Gideon Shilongo, told The Namibian yesterday Adebanji was to resettle in his home country of Nigeria and the resignation might have been linked to an offer there. Shilongo added that NBL was proud to have been associated with a professional like Adebanji, who had improved the fortunes of the company.

NBL saw positive gains in 2005.

During the six months ended December 2006, NBL generated revenue of N$565,6 million compared to N$511,7 made during the same period of 2005, while operating profit grew to N$69,6 million from N$57,2 million.
