The CMBTC announced on August 21st that on September 10-14, 2007, it will be hosting in Winnipeg, five persons from Central Raw Material Purchasing from the largest brewing organization in the world, InBev. Over five days the attendees from InBev will learn about the Canadian malting barley system, from farm to brewery through a series of lectures, hands-on practical demonstrations in CMBTC's state-of-the-art Pilot Malthouse and Brewery and through visits. "This is a unique opportunity for us to interface with InBev to demonstrate the capabilities of Canadian malting barley and our system and to learn from InBev their future malting barley requirements" said Robert McCaig, Managing Director of CMBTC. "The top five brewing organizations in the world control close to 50% of the beer brewed worldwide, so it is important to have face-to-face meetings with world brewers such as InBev" stated McCaig.
