E-Malt.com News article: UK: Cobra has appointed former PepsiCo director Will Ghali as its marketing director
Brewery news

Cobra has appointed former PepsiCo director Will Ghali as its marketing director, Morning Advertiser published July 11. Ghali was formerly marketing director at PepsiCo where he was in charge of the Tropicana, PJs and Copella brands, doubling the portfolio’s revenue in three years. He will join Cobra in September.

His appointment follows that of former Beam managing director Adrian McKeon as chief executive and is aimed at strengthening the company’s management team to fuel its expansion into the mainstream and export beer markets.

“Joining Cobra is a very exciting opportunity,” said Ghali.

“The brand has come so far, but there’s still so much potential to take it to the next level – especially in the mainstream market, where Cobra is just beginning to make its presence felt. I’m really looking forward to meeting the team and getting stuck in.”

Lord Bilimoria, Executive Chairman of Cobra Beer, added: “When we set out on our search we knew we were looking for someone with a broad range of experience, good team-building skills and a proven track record in beating expectations and driving brands forward. That’s exactly what we found with Will.

"With Adrian and now Will joining Cobra, I am more confident than ever that we can continue to succeed in our mission to brew the finest ever Indian beer and to make it a global beer brand.”
