The Nicaraguan antitrust authority PROCOMPETENCIA has formally notified Heineken of its approval of the transaction involving the acquisition of FIFCO's stake in Nicaraguan Brewing Holding, S.A., Ideal Investisseur reported on January 16.

This approval comes with a condition: the implementation of an antitrust compliance program in accordance with local regulations.

The completion of this operation, which includes the acquisition of FIFCO's beverage and distribution activities announced on September 22, 2025, is now expected in the first quarter of 2026, the company specifies. The Dutch group indicates that further communications will be made in due course.
